Less Stress

Warning... FLORIDA HAS ICE!!!!!

Well yesterday was good. My turkey came out perrrrrrrrrrrfecccccccccttttttt. Tender and juicy the way it's supposed to and all I did was followed the cooking directions. Even the brother in law, in laws and hubby were surprised. No one touched my MIL's. They all ate mine. :)

Now the less stress..

This could have went about a diffrent way but it didn't and honestly, I could care less.

I am no longer a mod on the website I post my stories on. This means less stress for me, however, they didn't send me an email stating I was having my mod status revolked, the didn't talk to me on messengers, which numerous of them have seen me on and I have spoken with them. Never stated a word.

So yeah, honestly, it doesn't matter. While I enjoyed my modding job, it was too stressful because I was the one doing most of the work. Nine times out of ten, I was always doing the work so yeah, it doesn't bother me that I was removed. The only thing that does is that the ones that did less work than me and haven't posted anything report wise are still there.

And on top of that, they allowed someone who was part of the big uproar on the site, to come back as mod. After they had stated they weren't.

I'm sorry but real life gets in the way. I was never contacted or spoken to by them unless they needed something done. Usually when you are moderator on a site, the other's talk to you but these didn't.

So now that's one less stress for me.

For once, I don't care.

I got pictures of that place on Daisy I will post. It might not be nothing but the vet still hasn't called or even emailed me back and yes, I emailed her the pictures. Patrick is thinking about getting another vet because all this one wants to do is put your animal on meds without even coming back out to check on the problem.

Hope everyone else had a great thanksgiving.

Update

While on Duel Puppy Duty ( even though Spaz is three) yesterday, Daisy wanted to go one way, Spaz the other which ended in my back being hurt bad. In other words, instead of the area around the compressed fracture hurting, I feel the pain all the way up to the base of my skull. Now I am down again until my back somewhat heals, which makes me angry because 1..I should have been smarter that to take both out at the same time and 2..I can't do the work on the place this weekend I wanted to.

Thoughts on Steve Irwin

Animal Planet is my Daisy's favorite station to watch. To this day they still show The Crocodile Hunter and sometimes the Crocodile Diaries.

I was thinking about how Steve died two years ago. It was a freak accident that could have happened to anyone. However, I found these statements very disturbing.

Dan Mathews, vice-president of animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said it was "no shock at all that Steve Irwin should die provoking a dangerous animal". He added that "Irwin made his career out of antagonising frightened wild animals, that's a very dangerous message to send to children." He also made a comparison with another well known conservationist: "If you compare him with a responsible conservationist like Jacques Cousteau, he looks like a cheap reality TV star.

The son of Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel Cousteau, also a producer of wildlife documentaries, also took issue with Irwin's hands-on approach to nature television. Cousteau said, "You don't touch nature, you just look at it." Although it "goes very well on television", Irwin's approach would "interfere with nature, jump on animals, grab them, hold them, and have this very, very spectacular, dramatic way of presenting things" which Cousteau felt is
"very misleading"

Two very well known people have the nerve to say this about someone who was trying and succeeding in bringing the message about conservation of animals. Steve and his wife Teri were very careful in the handling of their creatures, they saved animals, relocated those that needed it and was raising their children to do the same. Never did Steve harm the animals, if they got stressed, he backed off and left them be. Him and his wife constantly talked about the dangers of approaching wild animals and told people not to do it. They were able to get us close to wild animals with out us getting injured.

I myself have learned and am still learning things about animals and some I don't look at the same way now.

I found this and find myself reading it and crying. Thanks Elsie for this link to Badass of the Week

http://www.badassoftheweek.com/irwin.html

I will continue to miss Steve. Most people are jealous that he did what he did. When he passed, we lost a very important person in Wildlife Conservation.

Videos of Daisy

Yeah, I finally have video of Daisy from my cell phone.

It would only let me upload one.

I HAVE DONE IT!!!!!

Today is me and Patrick's aka Lion's Fifth Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe we have....wait yes I can believe we have made it this far.

I have reminded people and even those who have been my friends for years, know not to call me on this day. But I garentee, my phone will ring. Some of my "so called friends" don't stop at wishing me a Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, ect ect. Nope, doesn't matter if my husband is home or not, they will call say Happy ect, and then turn the conversation onto them. And yes, this is stuff that could wait another day. Story Ideas and whatnot.

Anyhoo, Five years,,, man I am gonna have a lot to talk about tomorrow.

Update

Daisy passed her first and second test set by Mommy and Daddy.

First test.. A few nights ago, Daisy was left home for 20 minutes by herself while we went to the corner store. No pee, no poo. Nothing torn up.

Second test..Last night Patrick took me to Walmart. We were away from the house for 2 hours. Again with pleasurable results. No pee, no poo, no tearing up. We were very pleased, alright we were estatic.

The most we have ever been away from the house has been four hours and that's when we go to the movies. We don't do that often.

Last night we got Journey To The Center Of The Earth. I loved the movie. It is the version that can be watched in 3D but with Patrick's vision, we can't because he can't see that good. So I get to watch it in 3D by myself later. We flipped it over and watched it in 2D.

Still trying to make it through Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Cradle Of Life, seems to be we can't make it though the movie without going to sleep.

Right now he is out there working on his truck. I'm exhausted from not getting sleep last night. I hope we go somewhere today.

In other news.

All my dragons have hatched now. I have four adults and four hatchlings. I can't get anymore eggs until my hatchlings grow up. I might let them grow up and then breed my adults. I just hope I get another male. I have a couple of females but I am praying my red, my fog and my shield one are males. I'll update as soon as I find out.
